West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church

Guilty As Charged
by Ellen Carvill-Ziemer, Intern Minister

November 6, 2011

If you were to be convicted, what would you be convicted for doing? Thinking? Saying? The moment of being convicted is one of the great moments in Christian spiritual formation, but not one we Unitarian Universalists talk of much. We talk about the fruits - the personal convictions that follow. How do we live into these moments of being convicted and live out our convictions?

The Social Action Offering this morning will be given to the Greater Cleveland Congregations, a new coalition of faith communities and partner organizations in Cuyahoga County working together to build power for social justice. GCC unites people across lines of race, class, religion and geography to promote public, private and civic sector actions which strengthen and improve the quality of life of our neighborhoods.
